Files are read-only when opening from sftp remote explorer
See original GitHub issueI’ve added an sftp connection with the option "downloadOnOpen": true, however when I open a file from the remote server, I cannot edit it due to vscode saying it’s read-only. The only way I can is to choose “Edit in Local” for each file. Is this the expected behavior? How can I simply open and edit the files?
If this designed this way, can there be an option added to auto open the files in edit mode?

VScode > File > Preferences > Settings Select “downloadWhenOpenInRemoteExplorer” then restart vscode.
This is the expected behavior. “downloadOnOpen” only works for the local explorer.
No such option right now.
